Ugh

I am reading this from all over the place, so that means it is obviously true. Manny Ramirez is going to be suspended for 50 games for testing positive for PEDs. Does this really shock anyone? At this point, I will be shocked if a player does not test positive. I wonder if it will "come out" that his medication is prescribed, and this was all a big misunderstanding.

How bad is this for Dodger baseball? Something tells me that MLB will try to make this go away.

To update from what I've ready, the doctor did not know it was banned, but it is the player's responsibility to check, so he is not going to appeal it.

He did say he tested negative 15 times in the last couple years, and that this was just a recent mistake. Hmm.

The real question is, since I unfortunately have Manny in both Ryan's and my own leagues, do I drop him or keep him on the bench for 2 months? Too bad it won't count towards DL...

I think the Dodgers will be OK. Still good enough to win the NL West, but probably not to beat the Phillies or Cardinals. Juan Pierre can stop complaining about playing time now...

Yeah, they should be fine in the West, I actually meant will this hurt them fan wise. LA is not really a huge baseball city, yet they really do love Manny out there. Could this shatter the illusion? Oh wait, this is Hollywood, he'll probably get a movie deal.

That's a tough question. In your league, you might have to drop him, since we have the smaller roster size.

I'm just hoping Pujol's never turns up positive. He's the last hope we have...

Pujols is not human, so steroids would have no affect on him.
