I don't see why we don't try to come up with a live feed sports blogging show. We are on the ESPN web-site for only 15 minutes get viewers to instant message their way onto the show instead of calling, and have a live feed with franky C. the guy who does all the impressions of madden, george w., etc. We could all interchange, depending on our availability, so we would all be the hosts of the show at some point or another. We would argue about important aspects of sports, if there really is any important aspect of sport, where half of the air time would be spent on the argument of offords latest blog of the ineptitude of the Pittsburgh Pirates. There would be 3 of us on at any given time, with the live feed of franky C preparing for his next hilarious episode of frank tv. I could see the first show going something like this:
Gideon: "Welcome to 'Another day in Sports', where we debate the darker part of athletics you don't care to. I am your host Gideon 'ninja lightning' Bryant, yes the cousin of Kobe, and these are my fellow anchors Josh 'can't quite reach that scratch' Croyle and Jason 'i'm shorter but better than you' Offord.
Josh: Thanks G.N.L.B. Yesterday we debated the bigs MVP Race, and why Romo's woman isn't as hot as brady's women combined. Now we'll send over to Offord for todays segment of "The ineptitude of the Pittsburgh Pirates"...little man?
Offord: The Pirates suck, anything to add Franky C?
Frank C (with madden impression): The woorllddd should retire the number 4.
Gideon: From the NFL? OR From football in particular.
Frank C (with madden impression): From the entire num-num-numerical system.
Josh: Haha! So we would go 1,2,3,5? I get it, very funny john, very funny, we only have 30 seconds to dis...
Frank C (with madden impression): In fact we should retire 4 from the dictionary, anything that uses the sound of 4 should-should be gooonnneee. Like-like foreskin would be favreskin.
Offord: Yes but we're talking about how bad the Pittsburgh Pirates are, even be-favre (giggles at his own humorous input)cam bonifay.
Frank C (with madden impression): The-ah Pittsburgh Pirates are a great football team.
Offord: The Pirates don't play foo...
Frank C (with madden impression): favrety-favre!
::Black out::
It's just an idea, we would have to change the dialogue since i stole parts of it from a DVE comedy skit, but the foundation is there guys. It'll be like a younger panel of PTI with all of their hair. We can make this work. Oh, and I posted my first ever blog on my actual blogger site, it's a rough translation of what is going on in my day to day life, which is basically nothing, and i'm very ignorant to the function of computer websites...or technology in particular. Anyway, it's a start. Please elaborate on the specifics, you know it's a great idea.

Something tells me DVE is going to sue us for that one...
Hopefully JSO (that is my new way of abbreviating Jason's Sense Of...) will get the ball rolling on a political debate...ahem.
I think we should definitely have a weekly sports feature. One person kicks off a topic, and instead of going to the comments, the other people just edit the post and use bold face heading for their name, and then just type their opinion...
Am I the only one that doesn't know what DVE is? Looks that way. Grrrrrrrrrrr.
In any case, this sports show sounds like a good time. whenever i watch that 5-6pm espn block i figure i could do just as good as those guys, if not immensely worse.
my biggest shock from reading this post was the revelation that frank tv is actually good?!? from the limited ads that i saw, it looked really really bad. i've never actually watched it, but perhaps i'll give it a try...
gideon...DVE is a Pittsburgh radio station. Yeah, I definitely think all of us had discussions at the bar that are more insightful about sports than PTI or Around the Horn.
FrankTv is okay at times, but I find that Frank Calliendo is much funnier when he is on Mike & Mike In The Morning.
To be honest, i've never really watched frank tv, i just referenced it because i couldn't think of his actual last name at the time and his show was the better reference then saying "the chubby funny guy that does all the impressions on his own show on comedy central." I would have to agree with ngewo that he is funnier on mike n mike or just his stand up bit. To be honest all the shows on that espn block from 5-6pm argue the same shit over and over again, making the same rhetorical arguments, that our crew usually makes within the first 5 minutes of hearing about the story at the bar the day before. I simply thought we forged ahead of the useless, repetitive banter and added our own spin to it. Possibly turning it into the Daily Show, but just with sports. Or is that basically what PTI is, lord knows those bald bastards make me chuckle
