A-Rod out til May

A-Rod will be having surgery to remove a cyst on his hip. The surger and rehab is projected to take 10 weeks, which would put him out until mid May to early June. This pushes my argument further about the Yankees not being the best team in AL. Maybe not even in the top 3 now. Could this be last year all over again for Ogre Team Steinbrenner and the Yankees? Oh I hope so!

Top 5 AL teams

We are in much agreement, and the Yankees definitely will drop a notch in my April rankings because of the ARod injury.

And by the way, you just doomed Sizemore and Wright, remember your Beltre pick last year??

Any luck on getting 5 more for the fantasy league? I sent a message out to most of my friends on facebook to get people for my league. I expect exactly 0 to join.

Ahh Pirates just made a great comeback, then lost by a game winning grand slam in the 10th...Great game though...to watch online by reloading box scores...

well i could get singer, dave and our friend brian if i switch my league to unlimited waivers...but then that would defeat the whole purpose of the league.

oh and the beltre pick is on the board again this year! I didn't pick him for my mvp though i think, i thought he would earn his contract finally, but mvp? I don't know, i may have...i like to reach for new heights unprecedented with my predictions.

Beltre will never live up to that contract. Unless, is this year another contract year for him?

Switch it to unlimited, I thought that was point of two leagues. One was going to be unlimited, the other not. I have asked around, no one wanted to do it. I will try facebook though, good idea.

Ok, I'll switch it to unlimited, but i'm not shrinking the rosters. It gives us the opportunity to take away some pitchers singer and dave would have otherwise changed around too frequently.

I can't believe I am going to cave to those petty whiners...

Well my league has unlimited waivers, why can't I fill up that one? It seemed like a healthy compromise to have Singer and co. try a league with and one without just to mix it up and see if they could do well in each...but whatever.

i got two people. jason and nick from batman obviously.

Thanks yo! 2 more and I will be satisfied. Probably not gonna happen with mine since it's on Sunday. I may not even make my own draft...how lame would that be.

J Offord said...

Would anyone be opposed if I changed it to Monday at 8 pm?

jason's sense of said...

i will be at a meeting monday at 8pm. there is no possible way i can make that.

Okay well if Ryan and Me can't make it, I'm pushing it back. I'll let everyone know what the date will be.

yes josh, it is a contract year for beltre...dave signed up for my league so far out of singer n co. thta makes an even 8...with the larger roster sizes, i would be cool with just 8, but it would be more interesting with atleast 10.

Ah well, i have another week or so to get it filled, so we'll see.

Since you have 10 now, maybe lower the roster sizes? Doesn't really matter to me, but congrats on getting 10
